Inside No. 9, Season 4, Episode #42: Perstrepo
Packing a punch with some percussion this month, including a selection of cut gems by some of the leading pervaders in mutant beats and improvised drumming.
A loose thread connects many of these artists, and I’ve tried to allow this to remain frayed in the running sequence. Cafe Oto is one link that is clear, as many of these artists are either regulars or have performed at the venue in recent years. I’ll leave you to discover the others.
This mix came about after many hours walking and exploring new landscapes as I moved home. I had a long playlist of about twenty records which I shuffled in full, selecting the final nine tracks after many lakeside and woodland rambles.
I’ll keep this short and sweet as I’ve recently been hospitalised with a severe case of pneumonia and livedo reticularis. All better now and on the mend so I’ll let the music do the talking. Here’s a breakdown of the records included.
