It’s been a while since I’ve done an artist feature. I’ve been wanting to do this one for a while, but as this trio have only a handful of releases to their name it’s taken a bit longer to put together. It was a blessing that a new LP dropped on Dead Mind Records last […]
Warning to sensitive listeners. This mix contains language and expressions that some might find offensive. I implore anyone that feels this way to read and learn more about the times depicted and to look and listen to the human story and avoid prejudice and preconceived moral constructs. My ideas are personal and if you have […]
Bloody heatwave. Three months now and averaging 32°C/90°F and no rain. Well a few storms but nothing I can’t count on one hand. As I type it’s the end of the second week of August and I’m contemplating how much more heat I can take in a country devoid of air conditioning. I mean the […]
Western Europe has been hit by a fierce heat wave with temperatures hitting 40C (104F). This is the second such heatwave in Switzerland we’ve had this year, and as a country with almost zero air conditioning this is a big deal. As of writing I’m two weeks into this soupy heat and there is more […]

The sounds on this one almost traverse my entire time on this planet, give a year or two. It also contains some big commercial hitters from Grandaddy and Badly Drawn Boy […]
Recorded straight on an ancient C90, you can hear the decay of three decades, plus a number of old recordings bleeding through at various points. The sound dips and peaks while channels unexpectedly disappear. There are times big drops are lost and later created by the frayed tape. It’s not clean and it’s not pretty, […]
Spring is hitting hard already and I type with itchy eyes and a snotty nose, but with a keen sense of hope, the sun on my back and the warm breeze clearing the winter blues I bring you March. I have been transforming my record collection of late, trading records I haven’t listened to in […]
I’ve been away from my new home for the duration of February visiting the old country to see family and friends. I had been looking forward to this visit for a while, as it coincided with my birthday and afforded me the opportunity to connect with people I hadn’t seen for many months. The rain […]
