When The Orb’s Alex Paterson and original memeber, Andy Falconer, reunited as Sedibus with 2021’s The Heavens, the sky – perhaps figuratively and literally – seemed like the limit of their collaboration. With the forthcoming SETI, they’ve pushed well beyond that. Immersive ambient atmospheres open up a new world of emotive soundscapes on the album, with the duo finding common language within the synthetic explorations and liminal movements. It’s a dense and rich album that evokes the wonder of what lies beyond our perceptions, searching deep within vivid, imaginary worlds to discover a new form of expression.
To celebrate the release of SETI, Falconer put together this excellent mix of some of his favorite electronic pieces through the years. SETI will be released on February 23 and can be pre-ordered HERE.
