A warm, enveloping palette drifts on vocal ether as Hiram’s “Heartwood” reveals a soft, living core. Hiram’s voice is an invitation floating above a foundation of sonorous drones. The way melodies are blurred into one another to resonate deep within the soil, moving forward slowly, but with purpose. Rich soundworlds bloom from every corner of “Heartwood,” giving us a space to exhale before we make our next step. This is beautiful.
