These two forces converge on his latest album, Novellen—an hour-long sonic odyssey brimming with electronic mazes, cryptic samples, minimal rhythms, and tape-mangled reverie.
Ghostly melodies seep from the depths of an old organ, weaving through shimmering chimes poised to greet the dawn. The music is both haunted and hypnotic, as though Schlienz is excavating the deepest recesses of our psyche, unearthing echoes of an ancient past.
