The Weaver

In the corners of our lives, unseen, are the weavers, living their own lives while observing others from their shadows. They know mysteries and are mysterious themselves. With the right language and the right observance, with care and quietude, we can learn what they know. This journal will seek to accumulate those secret corners, to give each of the moments its pages provide to following those skeins as they journey in a complicated world – delicate, purposeful, and vital.

This journal springs from a lifelong desire to understand the people, places, and things around us. It’s been a lifelong hunt to understand, to find the knowledge that will demystify another small section of this complex universe. In the process, I have begun to discover how big this universe really is, as if it has expanded exponentially with each new thing I learn. At the same time, that information hoarded feels barren and useless; I don’t want to live in a lonely universe. Here, I want to collect and encourage not just writing but a community of writers who also feel an impulse to explore, discover, ask why, and then pass the story on. Maybe we’ll discover other universes along the way.
