Foxy Digitalis Mix Season 2, #18: Kate Carr

Whether it’s her own solo work or the music released through her label Flaming Pines, Kate Carr always has my attention. With the lovely fake creek, it all comes together in a enchanting, aqueous package. It’s an excellent example of what makes Carr’s work so interesting and engaging in that there’s some familiarity with the individual sounds, but she has a singular, inventive way of bringing all these sources together to create new, incredible worlds. Her Foxy Digitalis mix has her “thinking about fantastical shorelines and depth” and it’s a potent adventure to take. Dig in and visit her Bandcamp for a cache of wonderful sounds.
