Greta Ruth is an artist with a clear, uncompromising vision who isn’t afraid of venturing out into the dark, deep waters and seeing what she can find. Her recent EP, Milk Tooth/Hull, sees her experimenting with vocal-only compositions and finding new, fertile ground. I hope it’s only a start and she mines these ideas deeper, but wherever her music leads will be a light worth following. For her mix, she brings that same spirit to combine a collection of songs in ways I’d never have imagined, keeping us engaged and excited all the way through. There have been many mornings I’ve just listened to this on repeat and it never gets tired. Find Greta via her website or Bandcamp.
