Drifting patterns bounce around at obtuse angles in the magic hour fielded by Seminar Shadow’s “Luring.” Dueling piano motifs cast shadows on one another, a series of muted starbursts buoyed by an increasing sense of urgency. Seminar Shadow – the duo of Lucie Vítková and Teerapat Parnmongkol – combines emotive, melodic stippling with an undercurrent fueled by subversive arrangements. Whatever direction “Luring” seems to turn, it goes somewhere else, dragging us along for an investigative, invigorative ride.
