As the frontman sings, “Everyone wants to feel free, I can’t tie your heart to mine,” we are pulled in. Crunchy guitars riff on the last hours before dawn well and truly hits, grounded by warmth and propelled forward with a sizzling emotional fortitude. The song’s timbre is beautifully overwhelming, searing Mascis-esque specters into the fading embers. I am hooked.
