Follow the smoke, find the fire. CLASS is relentless, and they tear the whole party to the ground on their new record, If You’ve Got Nothing. After feedback warms our cold hearts and fuzzed-out power chords paint everything in concrete gray, they spill the song’s sentiment from the beginning. “Sick, sick, sick of the same old shit,” Erik Meyer spits out, riding a ripped leather wave of motorik propulsion and anthemic chord progressions. Every other line is heightened with wall-smashing gang vocals as “Just Another Number” points its arrows straight into the void that will eventually consume us all. We may be resigned to the darkness, but we can still go down howling.
