Moses Yoofee Trio’s OCEAN EP is such a joy to listen to. Infectious beats build out into laid back, funk-infused basslines, expressive keys, and synth atmospheres. It’s got a deep core, but the edges flicker and move. Everytime I hit play and the opening runs of “At Ease” hit, I have to move. Delicate melodies dance like shadow puppets across the rock solid foundations and progressive rhythms. With only five tracks, every one of them a heady force, I keep coming back for more. Big recommendation. OCEAN is OUT NOW.
