Stefan Christoff has released or been part of so many wonderful releases in 2023, and in his second mix for Foxy Digitalis this year, he does not disappoint. Off the back of a stellar collaboration with Adriana Camacho, Christoff shares selections from new and recent works out of Mexico City. The breadth of the music is incredible. There is so much here to explore.

Over the last couple of months I was in touch with friends in Mexico City both artists and activists to reach out about featuring some new, non commercial oriented music from Mexico City on a mix for Foxy Digitalis. This mix comes out of the context of working on a duet album with double-bass player and celebrated improvising musician Adriana Camacho. The album that we worked on, Años y Minutos, was released this past year on cassette by Moon Villain records in Boston. I asked Adriana and also friends around the network of artists connected to Radio Nopal for ideas and suggestions of tracks to include, below is the track listing. The mix ends with audio that a friend Amanda Ruiz Méndez recorded at a solidarity protest with the Palestinian people and in opposition to the bombing of Gaza by the Israeli state.
