Track Premiere: Luce Mawdsley “The Growing Rooms”

A quiet division reconnects in the gentle sonic ephemera of Luce Mawdsley’s “The Growing Rooms.” The Liverpool-based composer searches shadows of plucked guitar and crystalized piano arrangements. Holding focus on a lilting, hidden glow that begins to spread as the piece breathes new life into once-lost environments.

“‘The Growing Rooms’ is a place of healing and transition,” Mawdsley shares, “a tender incubator that awakens fertile earth from its frozen nadir.” Notes hang for an extra breath and small moments fade from grayscale to color as electric guitar leads sing and organ chords effervesce like new growth in early spring.

Luce Mawdsley’s Northwest & Nebulous will be released on March 29 by Pure O Records. Pre-order HERE.
