Video Premiere: Peter Knight and TL;DR “Cirrus”

A shimmering push and pull runs through “Cirrus” from TL;DR and Peter Knight, weightless and grounded all at once. Directed by Melbourne-based artist and filmmaker Lola Hewison, the video moves in lockstep with the ensemble’s subtle intensities and long arcs, never drawing too much attention to itself but always shaping the atmosphere. You can feel the care in the pacing, the light, the patience. There’s a slow breathing at the center of it all. TL;DR and Peter Knight’s sound isn’t easily pinned down, and that’s the point. It drifts with clarity, slipping between electronic haze, jazz-like telepathy, and deep-in-the-pocket minimalism, all touched by subtle dub inflections that echo at the edges. Hypnotic and understated, the music builds like a tide. It doesn’t crest. It surrounds.
