Video Premiere: gushes “Stick Figures”

The winding guitar melodies of gushes (Jennae Santos) “Stick Figures” blend mystery into hypnotic sonic codes, underpinning the dramatic fervor pulsing through the song’s core. The build tension in layers that orbit each other, desperate for collision, all while maintaining distance. Santos directs the video with ceremonial precision, transforming the Catskills into a ritual space where bodies become portals. Chord progressions echo, a breather before the last run. Prog stretches bleed skyward, stitching neon tones into sharpened patterns before exploding into a funked-out catharsis. This music is simultaneously connected to ancient ground while hurdling deep into unknown futures. The umbilical tongue binding Mother Trickster and Baby Beast speaks to something primal and urgent, a violence that reads as necessary rather than gratuitous. This music knows exactly where it needs to go even as it resists arrival. It’s a birthing spell that acknowledges birth as rupture, as the end of one self so another can breathe.

Delicious Collision is OUT NOW on PTP and Switch Hit Records. It’s essential listening. Don’t miss it.
