Video Premiere: 400 Lonely Things “Many Ran”

“Many Ran” is a tightly wound ball of sound slowly unfolding and rasping against the dawn. Blurred voices holler in the distance, a beckoning call toward a crumbling horizon imparted with cryptic dissonance. This new collection from Craig Varian’s 400 Lonely Things, curated and assembled by Lawrence English, is a slow-burning, immersive spectacle. Felix Burford-Connole’s video buoys the uneasy spirit echoed in a repeating piano line that burrs its way into this music’s deepest core. Echoes from a growing abyss amass in the margins, bouncing off each other to heighten the memories of details disintegrating into darkness.

Children of Eidolon will be released by Room 40 on January 24, 2025. Pre-order HERE.
